Upon reflection, it seems hard to fathom that so much global acclaim could have emanated from just one online video posting. It is a remarkable privilege to be able to share from the wisdom of Ruggiero. Both were joined by Angela Ruggiero, a four-time Winter Games medalist who talked about the life lessons she learned from playing ice hockey. Of note, she had the opportunity to appear on stage at the gala, along with Amanda Rivera, a participant from the New York Junior Tennis League. With more than 50 female athletes in attendance, including living legends such as Billie Jean King, Annika Sorrenstam and Julie Foudy, it was one of many memorable moments during a year to remember for the 10 year-old Gordon. In October 2013, she had the opportunity to be part of the 34th Annual Women’s Sport Foundation gala.
